About PaxRESOLUTE

Peace engineered with purpose.
Delivered with resolve. Built to last.

The Name

Why PaxRESOLUTE

Pax

Pax is the Latin word for peace, carrying the full weight of the Roman tradition. The Pax Romana was a peace that was engineered, maintained, and defended through discipline, structure, and resolve. Peace as something deliberately built. Peace as an achievement of will and purpose.

RESOLUTE

RESOLUTE carries a dual meaning that is entirely intentional. The HMS Resolute was a British Arctic exploration vessel, lost in the ice, abandoned, and set adrift. An American whaling crew eventually recovered her. Rather than salvage the ship for parts, the United States Congress returned her to Britain as a gesture of goodwill. When HMS Resolute was finally decommissioned, her timbers were fashioned into a desk. That desk, the Resolute Desk, has occupied the Oval Office through some of the most consequential decisions in modern history.

A vessel lost and recovered. Repurposed for something greater than its original mission. That story lives inside this name.

RESOLUTE also means exactly what it sounds like: determined, steadfast, stalwart, tenacious, and firm. Unwilling to leave a problem unsolved.

Together, PaxRESOLUTE means peace that is engineered with purpose, delivered with resolve, and built to last.

The Fixer

The Other Name For What We Do

Before there were formal dispute resolution credentials, there was a role that every organization understood. The person brought in when something was broken, stuck, or headed somewhere expensive. The person who could walk into a difficult room, read the situation clearly, and build a path forward that everyone at the table could accept. That person was called a Fixer.

PaxRESOLUTE founder Calvin Cole has spent 25 years in that role across healthcare, financial services, technology, and construction. Injected into friction environments. Trusted to deliver hard news, negotiate progress, and exit leaving something functional where there had been conflict. The work happened in boardrooms, data centers, government procurement pipelines, and church councils.

Rule 31 certification and Resolution Architecture are the formal expression of that skill set. The Fixer is what it looks like in practice.

"I have often been described as the coolant rod in a difficult situation. The person who absorbs the heat, stabilizes the environment, and makes forward motion possible."

Mission

What We Are Here to Do

PaxRESOLUTE exists for the complex situations others will not enter. Where disputes are expensive, relationships are fractured, and standard resolution has stopped producing results, PaxRESOLUTE builds the bridge. Structured. Disciplined. Resolved.

High-performance resolution for the problems others will not touch.

"Fundamentum autem est iustitiae fides."
